| Specimen Type: | Fungal isolate specimen. Sample sources: Biopsy, Blood, Bronchial brushings, Bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BAL)/washings, Pleural fluid, Scrapings/clippings, Sputum, Tissue, Urine, Wound, Other. | ||||
| Collection Instructions: | Actively growing culture on suitable medium in sealed agar plate or slant. | ||||
| Temperature and Stability: | Room Temperature; stable for 72 hours | ||||
| Unacceptable Conditions: | Mixed cultures or non-viable organisms. Isolates from environmental sources. An additional processing fee will be billed for all mixed cultures. | ||||
