Listed below are common concerns or symptoms encountered for well water quality and the tests used to help identify the common problems. The Hygienic Lab employs highly trained staff and maintains state-of-the art instrumentation. Available instrumentation includes ion chromatography-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (IC/ICP/MS) for the determination of metals such as arsenic and metals species such as arsenite, arsenate and mono- and dimethyl-arsenate. High pressure liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) provides for the determination of fungicides, pesticides, pesticide degradates, pharmaceutical compounds, hormones and many other environmental contaminants.
